Dried the flower out and under-exposed. Brought out the higher-lit parts by dodging. Original lighting was a snooted strobe camera aiming across the top of the flower.

very cool - I really struggle with lighting and since photography is based around lighting, it looks like I may be screwed :lol:

Great technique. I use this a lot in my dark images. Seems to give it a grittier feel. Nice work on this one Rufus. Would make a great postcard for the dark.
