I must have taken 30 or 40 pictures of this memorial and wasn't really happy with any of them. They were too "busy" if that makes sense. The gravel was particularly distracting.
These kids were on an ATV that was hit by a car. There was another one on board who survived.

Wow...what a memorial. Sad tale tho. Nicely captured Tam.
Have you tried any other angles...maybe low, looking up. Or focusing on say...the first cross and bluring out the rest? Just thinking out loud. :):)

Okay, that is horribly sad. One question that comes to mind, what were six of them doing on a ATV at once? Just the type of situation that could have been avoided under different circumstances, I'm thinking. Don't know the whole story so I can't really say, but I would think that it could have been.

very sad image indeed.
if you're still undecisive about the image being 'busy' looking, try using a larger f/stop to blur those trees in the bg.

Sad memorial but what I like are the streaks across the sky in the background. Kind of like their souls streaking across letting all know all is well. I like it.

Thanks for the suggestions...I like them all and might just make another visit to this site to try again. I can't imagine six kids even FITTING on a ATV and I'm wondering if it was maybe a golf cart instead. Either way, they were in the highway and met up with a Lincoln. Not a good thing.

How very sad... I was just reading your narrative and was just asking JM how 6 kids could fit in an ATV! Nice capture though!
