I always enjoy these type of portraits more than "faces" - I think they say so much more and this one certainly says a "ton"! Nice one:thumbsup:

Totally expressive in every way, woody, you take a little piece of personality from both sets of feet and you've got a whole big story to tell. The body language says it all, this ones filled with love.

At first I didn't get it...I just thought "two people facing each other...yawn". For some reason the stretched toes didn't sink in right away. In seeing that now, I totally dig this...the concept of less is more definitely was the right phrase to capture the idea behind this. Very well done!
That is one creative shot! You can't help but 'see' what is outside the frame! :bowing: :bowing:

... okay, I'm a freak ... but the here's what I noticed in order:
light and shadows on the ground ... and a pretty cool DOF ...
Cicily's ink ... very cool, especially as it's in color!
the fact that they're both wearing Converse!! You can't hardly find them here!
and finally ... the love that is showing in this one is fantastic. Maybe only a mom could see it or know what those little feet up on the toes means ... (she was probably bending over kissing the top of his sweet little head and he was probably grinning and hugging her!)
I also dig the colors and 'sunset' feel to this one.
This particular pose should be added to your collection for your customers, if the moment presents itself. It'd certainly be a top pick of mine!

Thanks again for all the great feedback!
Nicole...almost dead on :bowing:
Our entire valley has been filled with smoke from the Santa Barbara fire. So we went to the Trona Pinnacles Friday after work (you can look them up online) to take some pictures of the red sun above the Pinnacles. Well, it just didn't happen.
So...that's where the sunset feel comes from.
The dof...shot this with the 85mm wide open at f/1.8.
His arms were stretched out long as she was bending down to pick him up. Kiss on the head...we'll just say sure
