These guys rarely take a break from searching for something on the ground, so when they do, you have to be ready to snap!:)

Excellent as always Robert. Do you know what type of bird this is. I have seen these in my feeders, along with those...I think they are called Grackles? They are black with a blue head. I ended up changing the food, cause I could not get any cardinals or blue jays to come down.

This is a starling, Carl. And, yes, you are correct about the grackle having a bluish head and black body. In different light, they have other colors in them as well. Thanks for your comments :D

Thanks Robert. They actually get pretty crazy in the feeders. They kick everything out on to the ground...then jump down there and eat it.
I wanna ask then..."what, my feeder not good enough for ya"

Beautiful little starling, invasive though they are. LOL
I have a friend in Canada that just rescued 2 Starling nestlings this spring and has released them. I don't know if that was the right thing to do but she's happy.
So, I am not the only one that's been missing "loads" of excellent photography... .

I'm starting to wonder if you've got a bird feeder hat or something. All of your recent shots are great. I think I emit a natural bird repelant.
