The tree in the first one is fantastic! The rack on the elk is beautiful!!

The compo on these is amazing. To have actually seen that beautiful creature in that beautiful setting, I dare say I might have teared up. Thanks for sharing these pics.

Beautiful shots. I take it this is an un-hunted area where there is no pressure. Very nice shots. I head out to Colorado every few years to bring home some elk.

That first shot is just beautiful - the framing with the tree/leaves and the colors are stunning! Excellent image!

I was shocked at how large this elk was, that rack made me a bit nervous as I got very close to him.

I was in awe watching him, I had to put down the camera and just admire him.

This one I felt I had gotten to close, but he didn't seem to mind too much, he was just a tiny bit wary of me.

Correct the picture was taken in a park. A friend of mine just bagged an elk and promised me a steak dinner next time I see him. My friend watches the elk all year and picks the one he wants, come hunting season. The elk he hunts are smaller than the one in the picture, I guess there are two different types in BC.
