Not new but MIA for a while...

Hi again everyone... DestinDave here from Destin, FL currently stuck in college in St Louis, MO. Been absent for a good long while due to school and some minor health issues. Big news: another semester down with 5 A's and 1 B - still working around a 3.85GPA, made the Dean's List again, nominated for Phi Theta Kappa, and National Honor society. Can I get a cup of coffee... Next big news, I finally bit the bullet and got into the digital world. Recently picked up a Canon 400D along with a pair of Sigma lenses, battery grip, and various accessories. My wife doesn't realize it's just a stop along the way toward the 5D I really wanted - let's keep it our little secret, eh?

Raven - believe it or not I just cut about 8-10 inches of that hair off.. instead of
the Daltrey/Plant look I'm going for the Bobby Sherman look now...
Oneslow - I left Destin a couple months after Ivan, after I made sure all my boat
customers were taken care... I won't be going back there tho' - probably move
to Sarasota instead...

Anicole - My wife and I have talked (seriously) about buying a "short bus" to use
as a camper... and I still want to kiss that tattoo in your avatar... I didn't talk

To all the relative newbies - ain't this place great??? May not be the biggest forum around but it's the best! Everyone here truly cares about photography and more importantly, truly cares about each other.

DD...Congrats on the grades! I thought you ran away with one of them young'uns! Great to hear school is gone so well, so apparently IT WAS the right decision.
I've been out of here for quite a while too, trying to get psyched up again with the camera...and yes, the boat IS still covered...same as last year...hope to get it in the water in July for a long awaited vacation!
