Washington Monument with Geese & Moon

Jocose and myself hit the streets of DC on Friday evening after work. I have about 300 RAW shots that I need to go through for post processing though this one did not need any help so I figured I would post this one and deal wih the rest of my shots later this week. I squeezed this shot off right before Jocose and I met-up.

I really like the composition in this MCE - the geese really add to the shot alot! Color is great too!

I agree: I like the compo, with the Capitol visible behind the needle, and the bit of a diagonal slant to the reflecting pool. It's the colour of the light on the trees that really grabs me, though - love that golden glow. Then the presence of the moon, and the geese flying in formation, gives it 'balance' to draw one's eye upwards. Really nice shot.

Composition, addition of geeze, sticking the moon into the sky, and the sunset colours ... where did you order all this to capture this photo, I wonder!?!?? This is soooo beautiful.

Just at the right place at the right time. I was waiting for JoCose for about 30 minutes. If you stand long enough in one place for 30 minutes, you're sure to see something worth capturing.

Great shot, Scott...seems everyone has already said what I was gonna say.

Can't wait to see the rest. I'll have a looksee at mine probably sometime this week, but may have to push it off to the weekend.
