Moving along to another of the Big 5, and cuz JonMikal asked about elephant pics, here are some of my pictures of the elephants I saw while in Tanzania…

1. This little baby elephant initially played shy…

2. but then turned around to let us shoot its picture face to face.

3. Here’s a closeup of the baby ‘following in his mother’s footsteps’.

4. Grabbing a quick snack.

5. Small tusks…

6. and big tusks.

In my next post I’ll show how close the jeeps get to the elephants (assuming there are no baby elephants in the vicinity), and how the elephants sometimes come in contact with the tourists….

Thanks for looking.

how cool. I love #3...what a great capture. But why do even baby elephants look like old men?

I would love to go on safari...you've taken some cool trips, Anti!

Very cool! The little baby looks so little compared to mom. Good shots again.
