Had a crazy day at work today but I got to spend a very late lunch at the end of the runway at Toronto International, YYZ. Instead of using the telephoto like usual I used the wide angle for most of these.

I took a wrong turn and ended up at the other end of the airport just in time to get a AN-124 transport landing, one of the worlds largest aircraft. My luck had changed for the day.

Next aircraft in was a British Airways Boeing Triple 7. Life just got a whole lot better.

Awesome shots, Eric. The last one is sweet! My brother and I go out to do this every once in a while and love it. Nice to have another pilot on board (even IF you fly fixed wing!).

Articulator huh...Hey Linc, at least we can glide instead of hoping IT MIGHT Autorotate!

Great shots Eric, always loved hanging at airports growing up! I should be airborne in about 6 more hrs.....

Just slightly bigger but not as big as the Antonov 225. I love to see that six engine monster.

I thought the AN-124 was going to hit me. Man, It was loud and the wind disturbance was awesome after it went over.

That big Antonov 124 looks like it is coming right out of the screen and onto my desk here! And you took this one NOT using a telephoto lens but the WIDE ANGLE? How close was it? You can (almost) see the pilots, what have they thought when they saw YOU standing there taking a close-up of "their" plane from where you were (I tried to find you in the reflection even, but ... erm ... well ... that would have been too good :)).

And, just like everyone else here I really like that last photo, too!
