Just a few of the cameras my father and grandfather have used over the years. I have over 50 cameras and most were owned by my family.

OMG, I remember those flashbulbs! http://www.kolobok.wrg.ru/smiles/light_skin/girl_impossible.gif I think my parents had a Kodak camera like in #3 when I was a kid. What a hoot to see these old cams again. Thanks for posting.

That was my mother’s Kodak Instamatic. She was terrible at taking photos but some of them are now classic shots. I have hundreds of thousands of images taken from my family dating back to the 1920. It is very cool to dig a bunch out once in awhile and look through them.
One project I would like to do is post a photo of a camera and an image that was taken with it. Maybe when I have less to do.

Never forgave my mother for throwing out all my father's old cameras when they moved house whilst I was at college. His collection included many like these going back to about 1920, most of which I used as a kid. My favourite which got me hooked on photagraphy aged about 9 was a rising front 1/4 plate and I still could buy plates and cut film packs for it to dish develop and contact print. Still have the first new camera I saved up for aged about 13 (1954)- Zeis Nettar 12 on 120 folding with Novar lens and svs shutter and it still works!

Taken with the Nettar in about 1959 - didn't need fancy ways of conversion in Photoshop - it came this way!

I really like the angles you took on these cameras, you make them all look so interesting.
Luddite, looks like your father had a real eye for landscapes, terrific picture. Real shame about the camera's.
