Don't get a lot of sun in the winter over here..this is how people react when they see it!

He kinda looks upset that the sun actually had the audacity to shine:) , but I bet he's just soaking in the rays, I know how it feels not seeing the sun for long periods. Like also the way the sun is highlighting his face. Good eye Terri for spotting the scene and capturing it.

I can relate to that. Binghamton NY is not far from us, and it was rated in the top 20 places in the USA where there is the least amount of sunshine. We have lots of gray days in the winter. It's kind of depressing. When we do get a nice, bright day, it is hard on the eyes!

Thanks john and I agree, he does look like he's almost annoyed at the prospect of a beaming sun..or mystified!

Nice to see you here Pam! I do also agree that the blankets of clouds that hang around for months can affect your mood hugely..I also notice here that most people wear black, grey, navy or brown clothes throughout the monochrome winter. The winters here is was originally got me into black and white photography..I figure may as well go with the flow. :)

Thanks siobhan and calliope for having a look and taking time to tell me what you think.:)

I don't think he upset. I think he is just in deep thought, thinking about his life and why is the sun still shining upon it. Sometime when I gaze into and feel the rays of the suns beauty, I must ask myself why? Just my thoughts. Terri I love your people shots, Excellent work!

I feel this guy! I used to do this in Oregon during the winter. Sun would come out in the mornings sometimes for a few minutes, and I would just go outside early and soak it in for a few minutes. I think it saved my sanity!

 I can believe that, linc..I'm one of those people who is affected big time by lack of sunlight and over here there are months sometimes when the sun never shines. Once it comes out, even briefly, I have to fill up on those rays!!
