No photoshop here. All done in the darkroom. Let me know what you think, I'm kinda on the fence about this image.......

Daddio,

I really like the idea of hte shot. I think that the biggest problem is that the sky and the face's forehead are almost the same colors so instead of a head superimposed over the landscape, you get some eyes and sort of a nose.

Because the sky and face are so close in color (or lack there of I guess), the horizon is very strong and pronounced, so instead of the two sort of blending into one picture (both literally and figuratively), they seem two separate images that were placed one on top of the other.

Ultimately, I think what bothers me most about the picture is that too well defined horizon which causes a clear separation between the top and bottom of the pics.

I do like the idea, and I think that it could be a really cool shot, but it still needs a little work, imho.

I hope that makes sense.

I love the whole concept but I'm not sure if the two images fit together very well... I so wish I knew how to work a darkroom! That's amazing work!

Thanks guys.
Jocose. Bam. You nailed it. I 'sandwiched' two negatives in the enlarger to save time. I should have had 2 enlargers going so I could control the exposure and composition of each independently (kind of like 'opacity' in photochop). I think I like how it came out, but it could have been better if I spent a little more time on it.
Thanks a lot for your thoughtful critique.
