I look at the world differently... nothing new there... you already know that.
But the concepts I envision, are those concepts that are a perspective that is within a greater theme... a lesser imagined angle... my world... my perspective.

I like your look on the world. Thanks for sharing it with us. :)
Your images always have such fantastic light. I can't pick a favorite of the group. They are all wonderful.

I agree with Kristin, Ian.. beautiful look at the world through your mind's eye!
Question: And maybe I missed it in some other thread but - do you still shoot primarily with film and scan the images or are you using digital mainly now? I've got a real urge to drag out the old medium-format film camera and shoot some b&w "old school"...

OBB I have gone over to digital now... I primarily use a Nikon D80.
I love the viewpoint in these!!

I liked all of these and spent time examining each one. - and if you hadn't posted them, if I'd walked through the room 2 seconds ahead of you, I would not have paused. I would have walked on through. These were great!

The concept I am exploring here... is to use an apeture of at least F22, and then I play with the shutter speed.
The camera of course, is no more than about 8 inches from ground level.

In the following.. I used a long lens [sigma 70- 300 macro] in my search for the less obvious.

Love the way black and white makes me peer into the photo more. I wonder why that is?
Why does B&W carry so much more weight (thinking) than color?? Doesn't matter if it's a happy smile or point of death... I see a black and white photo and look for message/emotion right away.

From my website Kathy:
The concepts, the genre I have grown to appreciate, the science that started me on my photographic journey over the years, is black and white photography. Regardless of the subject, the power of black and white as a visual medium is a concept that in my opinion is unparalelled by any other visual concept. The drama, the honesty, the clarity, the form and impact of black and white photography is a visual stimulation that writes a story with the most simple of subjects.
Very well done! I can see what the cat sees

The first one is fantastic. The shadows/lights are perfect. The cabinet in the background also helps this shot!

Hmmmm I LIKE that.
I deliberately added a little grain for a classic feel... human desire has not changed for thousands of years.
