This beauty, the Dibrell House, was built in 1892 by real estate agent, H.A. Bowman and was sold to Dr. James Anthony Dibrell, Jr. while it was still under contruction. Dr. Dibrell was so amazed with the machine age that nothing in the house is hand-made. All of it was mass produced by machines. It was built with all the latest modern appliances available at the time including electric and gas lighting, an electric doorbell, and even an alarm system.

Great home and an interesting story. I can see the fascination he would of had with the machine age. Today it's hard to find things that are not mass produced (made in China), sometimes it too seems to be cutting edge until breaks and you have to replace it over and over again. I bet you if the appliances are still equipped in this house they work. Nice shooting!

That is an amazing house! I'd imagine machine made meant something a little different at the time. There is some really awesome detail in that old building! That is the type of place I would love to visit!
