I've had this image for months and have been dying to process it for Snaps, but I'm a slacker!

From Golden Spike National Monument in Promontory, Ut. This is where the Transcontinental Railroad met, one track coming from the East and One from the West.

I wouldn't be surprised if you've been here Snaps, but here is my humble attempt at an HDR of a steam engine. (Don't look too closely! I processed a single RAW file 7 times and combined in PS, so the noise in the deep shadows is horrid).

Long live Snapshooter, King of the HDR Locomotive!

I have not ever been there but would love to some day!
You did a great job on the old Jupiter.

Thanks, All!

Glad you liked it Snaps. Sorry I couldn't get the other one. I forget the name (or number). I was just pulling away as we drove up.

Maybe another trip sometime.

The other one was the Union Pacific Locomotive #119.
The 'Jupiter' was the Southern Pacific RR's locomotive. They were there for the grand joining of the two railroads track laying efforts to complete a rail line that ran from the East Coast to the West Coast. (for anyone wondering what it is all about)
