I tossed this together really quick for a project we are working on. The set up was simple. Im renovating my basement, and had some old ceiling tiles, set up the blocks, and the doll is from my mountain of halloween props. I stood two tiles against the wall, and set two on the ground, splashed a bit of blood, added a bit of makep to the doll, and fired off a few pics. In photoshop, I just added a midnight sepia filter to give it some creep. We are in the plans of making our own haunted house/attraction for next year, so we are just getting some ideas.

Now here is the question I have for y'all. ;) Betcha you knew there was a catch huh.

I need to know what scares you. What makes you cover your eyes, or scream like a little girl. Im not talking about Uncle Bob in a speedo, or Aunt Hildas cooking. What makes you go...eww. What makes you feel cold, or want to run for the door.

We have a ton of ideas, but would like to hear from "non haunter" people. :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

My fears are work related.

We have a poor communications system that is slowly being upgraded. Me or one of my crew getting lost in a building or falling into a basement and nobody hearing you call for help while your air is running out scares me.

The other would be telling a loved one that their child or spouse is dead only to have the patient sit up and ask what is going on. That would scare me.

A headless corpse would scare me also. I always wondered what would happen if you were the guy who had to pick up the head. How the hell would you do it without being freaked out.

Crazy people freak me out. You know ... wild eyes, crazy hair ... filthy clothes ...

Criminals ... axe murderers ... zombies ... JonMikal ... large, rabid animals ... (which also doubles for JonMikal) ... prison escapees ... and loons like the fella in Saw.

Oh ... and I totally dig your shot, Cannuck ... the baby has just enough of a creep factor that I'd give it a good berth going around it!

My dad was a coroner and had to deal with decapitation several times...he only picked them up because he had to....no one else was going to do it!!! It was still freaky for him, but he hid it well.

Anything to do with Satan, being possessed, crazy people with weapons of any sort, etc. gets the best of me. I love dressing up as the witch at Halloween, but absolutely hate being scared by others! Guess that's why I chose to do the dressing up and do the scaring!

My father was a coroner and had to deal with several decapitations. It still freaked him out, but he would never show it. He always had to pick the heads up because, let's face it, who the heck else was going to do it?

I personally am scared to death with anything to do with Satan, possessions, wildly crazy people with weapons of any sort, torture is always a good one. I hate being scared period!! That is why I choose to do the scaring at Halloween instead of being the one who is scared! Oh yeah, clowns! Cannot stand them! Or feeling like I am trapped! Drives me mad!

for me, I'd have to say anything to do with spiders or snakes, ghosts...and creepy guys that look at you all sorts of wrong..i call them creepy mccreepersons...we have a few of those that shop in the store i work at. i never really thought much about picking up bodiless heads, but now that it has been mentioned, yeah, that would be too much for me...oh and possibly deadites, though normal zombies don't look too good to me either.
and i love this photo, lots of dolls are just plain creepy and this one now ranks at the top of the list! love this one and still can't wait for the day you create a darkside calendar cause this one sure fits!

Looking in a mirror and seeing another face besides your own.

My one brother had a setup for his haunted house. He did it with a video camera somehow but I can't remember.

cool shot, carl... love it...

actually, when you talk about things that freak you out, mine are not the norm...

the things that really really scare me are more things that mess with your mind..

like the normal guy next door that actually has people trapped in his basement....
or the folks who seem just fine, but they turn out to be sophisticated serial murderers... like the hannible lector in silence of the lambs.. he loved classic music, and enjoyed talking to clarice, but all the time, he was watching her, gaging her reaction... anylizing... i dig that stuff, but it so dang eerie to me..

i also think, there is something about an animal you love/trust, and the fear that something some sickness makes them into a different personality...and they attack when you dont expect it...

Actually, looking in the mirror and seeing my own face scares me... especially first thing in the morning!

Excellent image Chiller... the doll looks like she's pointing and something to me. The unknown makes this creepy to me.
